How to Care for Your Jewelry

Tungsten Carbide Cleaning:

Your Tungsten Carbide or Ceramic ring is very easy to care for. They doesn't scratch easily and are tarnish-resistant. That being said, it is still important to following a few simple steps to help ensure your new wedding band will look spectacular for years to come.

How to clean: To clean tungsten/ceramic carbide rings, simply soak in a mild soap solution for a couple of minutes, rinse and wipe dry with a soft cloth, removing any fingerprints and smudges.

Tungsten Carbide rings with sterling silver inlays may tarnish over time, in that case, use a simple polishing cloth or a cheese cloth to polish. Although Tungsten doesn't scratch, it may look it has been scratched when the ring is accidentally rubbed up against something else with metal and a part of the material has attached itself to the surface. In that case, you can use a soft brush to gently remove the foreign materials.

  •  Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, or ionic cleaners.
  •  Be careful not to drop your Tungsten/Ceramic ring on a hard surface with extreme force to avoid a crack or shattering.
  •  Remove your jewelry, when working with chemicals.
  •  Keep your Tungsten/Ceramic ring away from diamonds to prevent scratching, as diamonds are a harder in nature.

Titanium and Cobalt Cleaning:

Due to Titanium or Cobalt's tarnish and corrosion-resistant properties, you don't have to worry about household chemicals damaging its surface. They will not break, shatter, or chip. These metals are more durable, and scratch resistant than traditional precious metals, however, they are not completely scratch proof like Y=Tungsten. As with gold or platinum rings, they can be polished by any local jeweler for a low cost. Care should be taken with
certain titanium rings such as: colored, inlayed, and stone-set rings.

How to clean: You can use a half-ammonia (you can use Windex), half-water solution and soak for a few minutes, rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
