Collection: Tungsten Opal Rings

Opal is known for its play of color, the way flashes of blue, green, or orange shift as the ring moves in the light. Setting it into tungsten carbide gives you that look in a band built for daily wear, which an opal ring in gold or silver rarely is. This collection brings together tungsten opal rings in white, blue, fire, and galaxy-style opal, plus designs that pair opal with koa wood, gold foil, or a hammered gold finish.

Why Opal Inlay Works in Tungsten

Opal is softer than tungsten carbide, so it doesn’t suit a raised setting that takes every knock. Here the opal sits recessed in a channel cut into the band, and the harder tungsten carbide edges around it take most of the contact. The channel doesn’t make the stone indestructible, though. Opal can be sensitive to sudden temperature changes, long soaking, and harsh chemicals, so take the ring off for heavy cleaning or a long swim.

What’s in This Collection

You’ll find white opal with gold foil, a blue opal band, a fire opal wedding band offered in 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm, a galaxy opal with an iridescent shift, a black tungsten ring with opal, a hammered gold ring with gold leaf and white opal, and koa wood paired with opal. The color play changes with the angle and the light, and it varies from ring to ring, so yours will look slightly different from the photos.

Choosing and Sizing

A lighter tungsten base lets the opal’s colors read softly, while a black base makes them stand out sharply. Tungsten carbide can’t be resized after manufacturing, so check our Size Guide before ordering. Your first size exchange is free if the fit isn’t right, and every ring is covered by our Lifetime Limited Warranty.
