Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the questions we hear most often, organized by topic. If you don't find what you're looking for, email us directly at contact@tungstennation.com — we'd rather give you a real answer than have you guess.

About TungstenNation

Who is TungstenNation? We're a tungsten ring retailer built around one core idea: buyers deserve clear, honest information about what they're purchasing — the actual carbide grade, the binder metal, genuine inlay materials — rather than vague marketing language. You can read more about why we started on our About Us page.

Are you a manufacturer or a retailer? We're a retailer specializing in tungsten carbide rings. We work closely with our production partners to ensure consistent carbide grade and quality standards across our collection, and we're transparent about what's used in each ring on its product page.

Why should I trust a newer store over a bigger, established one? Being new means we don't have years of reviews built up yet, and we think that's a fair thing to weigh. What we can offer instead is transparency you can verify right now: specific material details on every product page, a warranty and return process explained in full rather than buried in fine print, and direct email support that goes to a team actually reviewing your question. We'd rather earn trust through how we operate than ask you to take it on faith.

Where are you located? TungstenNation is operated by BRAVELYNX LLC, based at 312 W. 2nd St #1790, Casper, WY 82601, United States.

Product & Materials

What are your rings made of? Our rings are made from tungsten carbide — tungsten combined with carbon and bonded with either nickel or cobalt. We specify the binder metal used on every product page. See our Ring Materials guide for a full breakdown.

Do your rings contain nickel? Some do, depending on the specific ring — we use both nickel and cobalt binders across our collection. If you have a nickel sensitivity, check the specific product page, or contact us and we'll point you toward cobalt-bonded options.

Are tungsten rings hypoallergenic? It depends on the binder metal. Cobalt-bonded tungsten carbide is the more allergy-conscious option if you have a known nickel sensitivity. We cover this in more detail in our Material Safety blog article and on individual product pages.

Are your inlay materials genuine? Yes. Where a listing says wood, meteorite, or carbon fiber inlay, it's the real material — not a printed or laminated imitation. We think this should be a given, but we say it clearly because it isn't always true across this market.

How durable are tungsten rings, really? Very durable in terms of scratch resistance and finish retention — tungsten carbide is one of the hardest ring materials available. The trade-off is lower flexibility than softer metals, meaning it resists everyday wear extremely well but isn't designed to bend under extreme impact. Our Durability blog article goes into this in more depth.

Can a tungsten ring be resized? No. Tungsten carbide reaches its final hardness during manufacturing and can't be reshaped afterward. This is why getting your size right at the time of order matters, and why we offer a free first size exchange if it doesn't fit.

Why do tungsten ring prices vary so much between sellers? Price differences usually come down to carbide grade, whether inlays are genuine, the number of finishing steps, and whether the seller supports the ring with a real warranty and exchange policy. We break this down in our Pricing blog article.

Sizing

How do I find my ring size? Our Size Guide walks through two reliable methods — measuring an existing ring or using a string/paper strip — along with a sizing chart and tips for accuracy.

What if I order the wrong size? Your first size exchange is free under our Free Size Exchange Policy. Contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll walk you through the process.

Does ring width affect sizing? Yes. Wider bands tend to fit more snugly than narrower bands at the same numeric size. If you're between two sizes and ordering a wide band, we generally recommend sizing up.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does shipping take? Processing takes 1 to 3 business days. From there, US orders typically take 7 to 15 days, and international orders typically take 10 to 20 days. Full details are on our Shipping Policy page.

Do customized or engraved rings take longer? Yes — customization requires additional production steps, so expect processing and/or shipping to run longer than our standard estimates. Contact us for a more specific timeline on your order.

Do you ship internationally? Yes. International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes determined by your local customs authority, which aren't included in your order total and aren't something we can predict in advance.

How do I track my order? You'll receive tracking information by email once your order ships. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within our stated processing window, and contact us if you still can't locate it.

Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations

What's your return policy? Standard, non-customized rings can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they're unworn and in original packaging. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.

Can I return an engraved or customized ring? No — customized and engraved rings are final sale, except in the case of a manufacturing defect, which is covered under our warranty. This is because a personalized ring can't be resold or restocked once it's made.

Can I cancel my order after placing it? Yes, as long as it hasn't shipped yet. Once an order ships, it can no longer be cancelled — see our Cancellation Policy for full details, including how customized orders may enter production earlier than standard orders.

How long do refunds take to process? Once we receive and approve your return, please allow 7 to 10 business days for your refund to be processed to your original payment method.

Warranty & Care

What does your warranty cover? Our Lifetime Limited Warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects — cracking, discoloration, or finish/inlay issues that aren't the result of accident or misuse — for as long as you own the ring. It doesn't cover accidental damage, normal wear, lost or stolen rings, or third-party alterations. Full details are on our Warranty Policy page.

How do I file a warranty claim? Email contact@tungstennation.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos. We typically review claims within 48 hours.

How should I care for my ring? Remove it before heavy-impact activities, avoid harsh chemicals and extreme temperature swings, and clean it occasionally with mild soap and water, especially if it has an inlay material. This helps keep it looking its best but doesn't affect your warranty coverage either way.

Will my ring scratch over time? Tungsten carbide is highly scratch-resistant compared to most other ring metals, and typically holds its finish far longer than gold or silver under normal daily wear. No ring material is entirely scratch-proof, but this is one of tungsten's clearest advantages.
