Warranty Policy

Every ring we sell is covered by our Lifetime Limited Warranty. We call it "limited" not to soften what we cover, but because we'd rather explain exactly what that means than let the word "lifetime" create expectations we can't actually meet. This page lays out precisely what's covered, what isn't, and how to file a claim if you ever need to.

What "Lifetime Limited" Actually Means

"Lifetime" means this warranty has no time limit — it applies for as long as you own your ring, not just for a year or two after purchase.

"Limited" means it covers specific things: genuine manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, or normal everyday wear, which we explain in detail below. We use "limited" the way most reputable manufacturers do — to be precise about scope, not to quietly narrow what's covered after the fact.

Put simply: if something is wrong with your ring because of how it was made, we've got you covered, for as long as you own it. If something happens to your ring because of an accident or normal wear over time, that falls outside the warranty — the same way it would with any manufacturer's warranty on any product.

What Is Covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects, including:

  • Cracking or breaking that results from a flaw in the original manufacturing, not from an impact or accident
  • Discoloration that isn't caused by misuse, chemical exposure, or normal wear
  • Finish or polish defects present at the time of manufacture
  • Inlay defects, such as improperly seated wood, metal, or other inlay materials that come loose or separate under normal wear

If your ring has one of these issues, we'll work with you toward a resolution — typically a repair or replacement, and in some cases a first resizing at a reduced cost, depending on the specific situation.

What Is Not Covered

To keep this warranty honest and something we can actually stand behind, it does not cover:

  • Accidental damage, such as impacts, drops, or being caught on something
  • Normal wear over time, including minor surface scratches that occur with regular daily use
  • Damage from misuse, including exposure to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or activities the ring wasn't designed for (heavy manual labor without removing it, for example)
  • Lost or stolen rings — the warranty covers manufacturing quality, not loss or theft
  • Third-party alterations, including resizing, engraving, or repair work performed by anyone other than us
  • Cosmetic wear on inlay materials (such as natural weathering on wood or meteorite inlays) that occurs gradually through normal exposure, rather than from a manufacturing flaw

If you're ever unsure whether a specific issue would be covered, the best step is simply to reach out and ask — we'd rather look at your specific situation than have you guess based on a general list.

Why We Draw the Line Here

We know it might be tempting to advertise a warranty that "covers everything," but that's not a promise we could actually keep, and we don't think a warranty is worth much if it isn't honest about its limits. Tungsten carbide is exceptionally hard and scratch-resistant, but no ring material is indestructible, and normal wear is a reality of owning and wearing jewelry daily. Our warranty is built to cover the thing that's actually our responsibility — the quality of how your ring was made — rather than promising to cover situations that are outside of our control.

How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Email us at contact@tungstennation.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos clearly showing the defect.
  2. We'll review your claim, typically within 48 hours of receiving your email and photos.
  3. If your claim is approved, we'll let you know the next steps — this may involve sending your ring back to us for inspection and repair or replacement.
  4. If we need your ring back, you're responsible for the cost of shipping it to us, and we cover the cost of shipping your repaired or replacement ring back to you.

We try to make this process as straightforward as possible — clear photos and a good description of the issue are usually all we need to get your claim moving quickly.

If Your Claim Isn't Covered

If we determine your issue falls outside the warranty — for example, damage from an accident rather than a manufacturing defect — we'll explain exactly why, and let you know if a paid repair option is available. We'd rather give you a clear, honest answer than a vague one, even when the answer is that the warranty doesn't apply.

A Note on Caring for Your Ring

While our warranty covers manufacturing defects for the life of your ring, a bit of everyday care goes a long way toward keeping it looking its best regardless of warranty coverage: removing your ring before heavy-impact activities, avoiding harsh chemicals, and cleaning it occasionally with mild soap and water if it has an inlay material. None of this affects your warranty coverage — it's simply good practice for any ring you plan to wear daily.
