Tungsten Carbide Core
The structural body of the ring. This is where the hardness comes from — rated 8.5–9 on the Mohs scale, which is why it resists scratches that dull softer metals over time.

The Binder
Pure tungsten is too brittle for jewelry, so it's fused with a binder metal to hold the structure together. We disclose which binder is used in every listing — nickel or cobalt — instead of leaving it out.
